Privacy policy

Varam Initiatives (“we”) takes the confidentiality of your mental health information seriously. This policy explains what we collect when you book, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

  • Booking details: your name, age, email, mobile number, appointment time, and anything you choose to write about why you're booking.
  • Payment details are handled by Razorpay. We receive a payment reference and status, never your card, UPI or bank credentials.
  • Clinical notes from your consultation are kept by the doctor as part of your medical record.

How we use it

  • To schedule and hold your consultation, send your Google Meet invite, and contact you about your appointment.
  • To provide care, issue prescriptions and keep records as required by law.
  • We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Razorpay, to process your payment.
  • Google, to create your calendar invite and Meet link (your name, email and appointment time).
  • Our hosting provider, which stores booking records on our behalf.
  • Authorities, only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Medical records are kept for the period required by law. Booking data that isn't part of your medical record is deleted when it's no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance by emailing appointments@varam.care. We'll respond within 30 days. Some records may need to be kept by law even if you ask us to delete them.
